Однос државе и цркве у периоду одржавања Првог васељенског сабора

Abstract

Личност цара Константина Великог и историјске прилике које су пратиле његову дугогодишњу владавину, проблематика односа империјалне политике и религије, положаја и улоге цара у Цркви, непрекидно привлаче пажњу научника и доводе до опречних одговора на њих. Прецизно утврђивање реалног места једног римског цара на сабрању епископâ свих делова васељене, на скупу који је 'врхунски сведок хришћанске истине', пружа могућност да се објективно, а не пристрасно и шаблонски, испитају многа питања из домена односа државе и Цркве. Аутор у основним цртама описује богословско-политичку атмосферу доба Константина Великог, које је обележено суштински новим сусретом носиоцâ власти овог и будућег века, а затим, анализом извора, нуди своје одговоре на основно питање које отвара овом студијом: који значај за објективну анализу односа државе и Цркве има присуство императора Константина на Никејском сабору?.

Constantine the Great and the historical circumstances that followed his longstanding rule, the problem of imperial politics and religion, the position and role of the emperor in the Church, and many other issues that are raised in that significant period of history of the Roman Empire, continuously attract attention of scientists and lead to conflicting responses of these issues. Accurately determining the real place of a Roman emperor to a gathering of bishops from all parts of the world, to a gathering which is 'the ultimate witness to Christian truth', gives an opportunity to objectively, but not partially and with no stereotype, to examine many issues of Church-state relations. The author outlines the basic theological and political atmosphere in the time of Emperor Constantine the Great, which is essentially marked with the new meeting of the holder of power of this age and of the future age, and then, offers a few answers to basic question raised by this study: what is the importance of the presents of the Emperor in Nicea for an objective analysis of the Churchstate relations?.
